Konečný *APT soubor může být ještě měněn, ale cca z 90% je to verze, která se bude překládat. translation program, and it has no way to export the source text to do my usual count. However, the program includes a function for word count, with an item for „words yet to be translated“. The word count for this item is 18939 and to get a count of NS you have to count on how many words fits on 1 NS? The answer to this is not straightforward as it depends on the average amounts of character/word. This can vary but I have
found a value of 290 words/NS to be a good approximate value. Based on this I judge the text to be translated in this text is about 65NS.

There is no way to find out how many characters + spaces there are, because this file has a special format that can only open in the enclosed program appTranslator.
I have found no way to export text to count our normal way. The program doesn’t provide character + spaces, it ONLY provides words count, the total amount of words and how many words are left to translate. So the amount of characters can only be estimated by deciding for a value „how many words fit on 1 NS?“ Or by estimating „how many characters do 1 word have on average?“
Client said he understood that price would be an approximate estimation, so I think he only wants to know if we offer a reasonable price or not. Probably, he also sent it to other agencies. It al;so seems that he wants a fixed price, from what I understand. From my experience, the amount of words that fit on 1NS varies between 280-300, depending on average character length of words. So if we estimate 290 words = 1NS, that is an average length of 6.2 characters and a total of 65NS – this is the best we can do without more information. I can try to look through the file to see if I find anything, and also to see if I can find a way to export for a final count in case there will be business.
